Well, we have been keeping a pretty big secret for a while, and since it means a bit of a change to our household it is finally time to share our exciting news with the world!
A few years ago Ian and I started to plan for him to step away from his full-time job and focus on growing his own business.
Now, if you know us, you know we are two people who do NOT take risks, so it was a lot of hesitation on both our parts. We wanted to make sure we would be financially set when he decided to leave corporate America so that it would be one less stress on our plate. Well, after a lot of heart to heart conversations the last few months and of course having to buy our own health insurance, the time to officially leave came and he gave his notice on a very hot Friday afternoon in July. We kept it a secret for a few weeks until those who needed to know first had been informed, kind of like telling people you are expecting, except our expecting came in business form, not human.
At the same time that he was preparing to leave a job, we were gearing up for a busy fall/winter and for me to become even more of a full-time wife/cheerleader to his career. I decided I didn’t want to sit on the sidelines fully and figured, why not share our journey of running a business and a life together in this sometimes unpredictable, scary, but always exciting world we live in.
So . . .
Introducing for the very first time, but in the making for the last decade, MarriedtoSEO.com!
Don’t expect it to be very different from the crazy, funny, married life antics I shared on my site, I just felt it might be a little more relatable to other spouses who are 24/7 support systems, personal assistants, therapists, housekeepers, chefs, travel agents, etc. for their entrepreneurial better half.
This has been a decade in the making and I am so WE ARE excited for this to finally no longer be a secret we have to keep!
